What's in a Name? Celebrating your closet - one item at a time.

A New Approach (ANA)
Vivid Raspberry Chiffon
Do you know the designers, brand names, or descriptive colors of your clothes and shoes? (Outside of the Gucci bag - if there happens to be one in your collection.)

Whatever your wardrobe or budget size, when taking inventory (yes, a written inventory), noting the designer and style name on your clothing can bring a sense of value to the item and an appreciation of the creativity of the designer.

It also adds a sense of balance and celebration  - that the items that protect and cover your body are appreciated and cherished. This is especially important if you don't see your wardrobe as impressive.

If you don't have time to take inventory on your clothing, consider the possibility that you may have too many clothes.

Take your notepad, camera or phone (I use my I-phone notepad, but, there are some cool, albeit slightly time consuming apps available), into your closet and start getting to know your wardrobe. Sell or give away valuable items you don't use. Mend, toss, or repurpose the items that are in disrepair.

If you have time, research the designer or manufacturer of your most-loved piece.
What would you create if you could?
What's your personal style? Inspirational or feel good color?

Home and Heart's independent fashion consultants will work personally with you to organize and evaluate your wardrobe! Email: info@homeandheart.net for more information.

The colorful descriptions of some of my favorites are:

Sonoma Life & Style Tropical Peach
Beach Rose
Aqua Sky
Vivid Raspberry - Chiffon

Knitted in Taiwan, and finished in China, my most beloved Sonoma Life & Style "Tropical Peach" cardigan (which I lovingly claimed from the clearance rack at Kohl's) came with a label that states:

"Life is beautiful. Dress accordingly."

And that seems fitting.
