Free Hugs?

Kind of a grim picture - I know - for such a warm and fuzzy site, but, this is an important issue to us here at Home and Heart, and I want to bring the message home.

When a woman is emotionally abused, she becomes vulnerable to (even thirsty for) emotional respect.
This displays itself as an emotional quest which can lead her into dangerous territory - often at her own initiative.

Looking for comfort, she can find herself raped, abused, infected, or even killed. No woman should be so starved for love (especially in a marriage) that she risks her own well being, and often that of her children, to find it - but, sadly many women are.

Husbands should love their wives and treat them with emotional respect, but, if you are an emotionally abused woman - be alert to your own vulnerability. Realize that your inner yearning may cloud your perception.

Finding an emotionally safe space isn't easy, but, don't blindly or inquisitively follow your hunger. Stay home (if it's physically safe). Read. Pray. Get (professional) help.

Most importantly, don't sell yourself cheap, or risk your own well-being. Make sure that the people you bring into your life and the places you go are worthy of you.

Sending you love and hugs. Good ones!
