What's your hope meter reading this morning? Is it raining in your home or heart?
When I was a teenager, (being quite prone to melancholy), I purchased a poster which had a photo of a soaring eagle, and read:
"Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all."

I kept it in my room and home for decades - until it was so worn I could barely read the words....

Some days it's harder than others to have hope, and we often think of hope (and joy) in terms of sunshine and not rain, but,
reading through my Home & Heart Journal, I found this entry from my notes on a (Sarah Ban Breathnach) book I was reading - in anticipation of Spring, back in 2011:
"Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways... The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again."
